Hi Joe, thanks for the great plugin! I installed it on a non-profit organization’s website last week for an upcoming event https://purplebunnypancan.org/#services – I’m looking to add a ticketing option that generates no tickets, but allows purchasers to add an optional amount to donate on top of their ticket purchase price (if any).

I’ve read through the documentation and played around with custom fields a bit, but seems like a fair amount of modification would be required to add an amount from a custom field to the total ticket price.

I’m thinking the easiest way to do this may be by creating a ticket option with a specific name (like “Additional Donation”) that allows users to specify any amount. The option would be tracked through discrete ticket counting built into the plugin, and added to the cart total, but just not generate any additional separate tickets for purchases made with that option.

Any thoughts or other ideas to point me in the right direction? Thanks again!

Oh, that’s an interesting suggestion. I’ll have to think about it; I think there might be a better way to do that, but it’s going to take a little thought.

So what I’m looking at is building a custom plug-in that would add a donation amount field to the purchase confirmation page. Send me a support request from the plug-in, if you wouldn’t mind.
