Including a list of blog posts or thumbnails

I’ve ended up with one long list of blog posts in the blog section of my website. I can’t see a way to select a function that displays a list of blog posts or thumbnails. I’ve installed the Blog Manager Light plugin but can’t see where to add the short code.

My blog page has a Yoast SEO widget showing. I’m afraid if I delete the Yoast SEO widget I’ll have to go back and reenter a bunch of SEO data.

Is there a WP function I can choose; or am I better off deleting the Yoast SEO widget and adding the Blog Manager Light plugin short code? Is there something else that’s a better directions?
