I have a section in my directory that I wish to display on a different page. I have successfully excluded that section from the main directory, but I am struggling to get it to display properly on its own page.

The shortcode [connections category_in=’18’] doesn’t work (the entire directory still shows). I have therefore excluded everything I don’t want (a bit tedious and also means I have to remember if I add another category!).

Am I doing something wrong, please?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The category_in shortcode option requires two or more category IDs to function. The entries display much be in all of the categories supplied to the shortcode option.

You instead want to use the category shortcode option. This will list only entries attached the categories supplied to the shortcode option.

I hope this helps, please let me know.

    Hi Steven –

Thanks, and apologies for the delay in responding. That sort of works. Whilst it does indeed only display the items in that category, in the menu section it shows the entire set of headings from the whole of the directory, rather than just the headings from the category and sub-category that I want.

    Am I missing something?

    Cheers
    Tim

In this case, you’ll have to add the exclude to remove the subcategories.
