    1) For subscribers to my site, they receive an email subsequent to a new post. How can I make certain the main image in the article is included in that email? I subscribe to another WordPress site that DOES include the article image.

    2) I also noticed the aforementioned site displays the full article in the email instead of an excerpt. How is this done should I choose to do so?

Jetpack’s Subscription emails do not include the post’s featured image yet, but that’s on the list of things we’d like to add to the emails in the future.

Until then, there are 2 images you can control in the subscription emails:

    1. The image you outlined in the screenshot you posted above is the post author’s Gravatar image.
    2. The little WordPress logo appearing in the top right corner of the emails can be replaced by your site’s icon, that you can set under Appearance > Customize > Site Identity in your dashboard.

    2) I also noticed the aforementioned site displays the full article in the email instead of an excerpt. How is this done should I choose to do so?

There are 2 ways to control what is sent to your subscribers:

    1. You can go to Settings > Reading in your dashboard and check the “For each article in a feed, show” setting. If you have set it to “summary”, your readers will only see an excerpt of the post.
    2. If you choose “Full Text” there and then include a “Read More” link in your posts, only the part before the Read More link will be sent to your subscribers.

If you want your readers to see the whole post, you will consequently have to not include any Read More link in your future posts.

    I hope this helps!

Can you elaborate on the “Read More” link? Are you referring to <!--more-->?

Hi @revived – That’s right. If you set your Reading’s feed option to “Full Text”, it will give you the option to use <!--more--> in your posts.

Doing so will tell our subscription module to only show contents before the more tag and a link will appear to let the reader view the full version of the article on your site.

    I hope that clarifies things.

    Cheers,
