Include Files ? Child Theme

    Hi guys – I would like to over-write the template-tags.php file in the /themes/rookie/inc/ folder.

    I was hoping to create the /inc folder under my /theme/rookie-child/ path, however it does not work.

    Is there a way I can modify the template-tags.php file and continue to automatically update the rookie parent theme when new releases come out ?

    Hi @corrinarusso ,

    Unfortunately template-tags.php is called directly from functions.php so you can not override it. BUT you can override each and every function inside template-tags.php. Did you try that?
