include custom field content in search excerpt

    A site I’m building is heavily based on custom fields. Ticking “Search every custom field” does indeed include custom fields in the search results, but shows only the title of the page/post. None of the actual content of the custom fields is shown in the search excerpt.

    Is there a way to include custom field content within the search excerpt?

    Hey, thanks for reaching out & sorry for not responding any sooner!

    Well, for the time being, it’s highly un-likely we are going to move into this direction, to be honest, since we just took this plugin over and since our R&D agenda is more or less covered for a couple of months.

    Thanks for the response. As many developers use custom fields heavily in their themes I do hope you’ll be able to expand the search results to include custom field content. Until then, while the plugin does indeed search “everything”, it only displays “some things”.
