Include count of posts on posts custom types

  • I would like to include a count of posts for each custom taxonomy listed by the filter like:

    movie genre
    horror (5)
    suspense (2)

    Is there a function I can override, a hook or a filter? I tried going through the source but couldn’t figure it out.
