• Sometimes a project needs a logging of events, for example when the project comes into a critical phase. Is it possible to integrate such a logfile into the project administration? So not a separate attachment like a doc of excel file, but a list in the database of the project itself.

    Hi,

I’d be happy to add this feature to the request list. Just to confirm, do you mean that it should automatically log all changes of a project, or would you like to add custom items to the log?

    Kindest regards,

    Dylan

    Hi Dylan,

    Thanks for your reply.
The logging is for adding custom items to the log. Basically this could work as the present [discussion] tab. You may enter any event that takes place in chronological order, that is important to log. If it would be possible to have an option to create a second discussion trail in the project with an optional caption (for example [log]) than this would be sufficient as a log.

    Hi Dylan,

I realize that in the previous post, I more or less gave the solution myself. When I create a task in the project, called event logging, then the discussion tab of that task could be used to store the list of events in chronological order ?? Simple as that.

    Awesome ??

I also would like to add the ability to add custom tabs with custom data sources in the future as this would make it more flexible and extendable, but your idea sounds like a great solution in the meantime.
