The prominent ad that you have placed in the Clear Cache for Me box on the dashboard is inappropriate and against the spirit of WordPress.

Hosting providers are now faster with cloud services. Check them out here.

Worse, when I click on the close icon, nothing happens except jumping back to the top of the page!

In my opinion, placing the settings on the dashboard is not standard either. Your plugin should have a settings page, where it would be more appropriate to show that advertisement.

Too bad. I like your plugin otherwise, and thanks for making it available.

You’re right the dashboard is not the place for that. The hosting notice has been removed in v1.1.1. Thanks for letting me know.

I’ll possibly move the settings to the settings page when the plugin has more settings. It seemed overkill to have one or two fields on a full page.

    Great, thanks.

Lot’s of plugins have a settings page with just one or two settings. And if nothing else, it would give you an appropriate place to put your ad! ??

And also make your button on the dashboard look more professional, if nothing else. Ah, the simplicity of just one single button – how appealing. And it would make it easier to decide how to assign privileges for your plugin. I wouldn’t mind sometimes having some of my users have privileges to edit the settings, but just don’t want them seeing that on the dashboard, where it looks ugly.

Just my opinion though. Thanks again!

Thanks. I think I will add a settings page in the near future. I have some ideas on configuring the plugin a bit more.
