    Hi,

I have overwritten the content of my site by accident some time ago. Afterwards I have changed the design of my site. So I dont want the back-up to be put back. I got the back-up of the database. The thing is now in which php file can I find the content of the site ?

    Thanks,
    Hazy

Your content is in the database. Your images are in wp-content/uploads.

I know it’s in de db but there are some many php files. In which file is the content stored ? What’s the name of the specific file ?

The content is not in any PHP file; the content is in the database. WordPess puts content into and gets content from the database.

If you set up a new site, import that database. Your old content will be restored.

uhm … dont think I understand this. My hosting company put the back up of my database in my public_html for me to fetch. And this database contains of lots of php files and other type of files. So is this the place where I should look for the content or not ?

The content is IN THE DATABASE. There should be a .sql or .sql.gz file in that backup set. It contains your content.

Thanks. I figured it out at the end. The way I received the files was a bit confusing. As you might have figured out my knowledge of the back-end is very limited. Thanks for the patience.
