In-stock items are showing up as out-of-stock

    Hello! I’m developer in multiple sites which are using this plugin and lately we have been getting messages about in-stock items showing up as out-of-stock, even while they are backorderable. We managed to locate that this started happening after updating from Stock Locations for Woocommerce version 1.7.4 to 1.7.5, when according to changelog there has been a fix for “In stock / Out stock issue for zero value in both simple and variable products.”.

    For example a product with following postmeta -attributes is showing in version 1.7.5 and forwards as out-of-stock, while it should be instock:
    _backorders yes
    _stock null
    _stock_status instock

    Could there be a fix for this? For example allowing instock to have stock as null? Currently we downgraded the sites back to using 1.7.4 for them to work correctly.

    @roosalemonsoft actually there is a checkbox on the settings page which will make a locations selection dropdown Appear on product page. It helps the scripts to understand which location has stock and which has not, make sure if you have enabled that checkbox?

    This issue is not resolved, products that locations are not used, show out of stock, ie still using the standard quantity and in stock status in the default WooCommerce plugin. after 1.7.4 this fault occurred, still staying until problem is fixed

    @djsieff please send me a screenshot of stock locations tab from settings page and also a screenshot of product data section where I can see the inventory status for variations or main product.

    I don’t think you understand, we have products on our website that are not using locations or managing stock levels, the status is just instock. But on versions above 1.7.4 even the latest 1.8.3 will show products that do not use locations or inventory management show out of stock. So these products will not show locations on the product page as we had not selected locations to begin with and because of that the plugin just makes it show out of stock.
