    Hello,

It should be a “big” image for sure, but I am not sure it should be the original image; which in some cases, could even be a tiff, a raw, or simply a huge JPG. That could cause issue with other plugins like lightboxes, and older browsers (even that shouldn’t be the case now).

I am generating the src/srcset through the WordPress API, so you can definitely override it all through filters.

You can also indeed edit the functions.php and implement a filter from the Meow Gallery. It’s explained here: https://meowapps.com/meow-gallery/tutorial/#Modify_the_size_used_by_the_src_src-set

    I hope it helps ??
