In short, the best WordPress theme out there right now

  • There was a time when I didn’t know what to answer when someone would ask me to recommend them a WordPress theme. Not anymore.

    Ever since I first tried GeneratePress, I immediately knew that it was something else.

    I’ve been working with WordPress for almost 10 years and this one is extremely close to perfection.

    The free theme is amazing, the premium plugin is incredibly useful when you need to quickly put together a website for a customer.

    I absolutely love Tom’s focus on coding standards and performance, these are the things that matter the most and always will. If I could give one advice, that would be to resist the urge of adding more features and fluff, that’s what’s wrong with most other frameworks out there. There are probably loads of feature requests, but as it is right now, anyone can achieve anything with GeneratePress. So make sure to keep it lean and mean lol.

    Finally, there’s the A+ support and a huge knowledge base with incredibly useful code snippets.

    Well done.

    Let people can add as many features as they like by adding code to the child theme/code snippets plugin.. code could be made available on a certain page on gp premium site you know.. provide code if you dont want to add more features.. I think people should have code that way everyone’s covered!!

    Absolutely. Plugins, hooks and filters, custom templates in their child themes and so on. Lots of these questions have already been answered on the GP support forums and if not they can always post them there and get help. Or here if they didn’t buy the premium plugin.
