I found the solution.

The author of the plugin says you have to generate activity on your website, by this he means on your WordPress blog. But the actual thing that you want to do is trigger wp-cron, which is something that WordPress uses to trigger schedule actions.

So you need to access this from your browser: https://nameofyourblog.com/wp-cron.php
And the import process should happen.

Well, tried the normal + cron way, still nothing happening. I’ll check with my admin tomorrow.

It worked PERFECTLY on WordPress.com blog so I suspect something in the server config bugging all of us. ?? (I deactivated every plugin, checked the config of the importer, reseted it / erased it / redid it etc. Nothing. So it looks like it really server related. ??

Any luck on this? I am having the same problem and can’t find a solution.
