On the Event Category page: /event_category/my-event/

It shows the event title, then “by publisher name” and then the post date. I would like to replace the post date with the date of the actual event.

Example, I add an event today, April 15 for June 1 and called in test party.

    It displays:

    Test Party
    By eweig | Apr 15, 2018

Instead of Apri 15, 2018, I would like it to show the event date of June 1, 2018.

When I click on Edit Category it takes me to: /wp-admin/term.php?taxonomy=ecwd_event_category&tag_ID=42&post_type=ecwd_event

But that doesn’t help since I can’t tell it to replace the date there. Where in the files could I go to update what date it displays?

I have it working correctly in the Events Archive Page, but can’t get it to use the event date on the Event Category page.

    Hi,

    Please, excuse my tardy reply.

Please, note that you cannot achieve this in the category section. However, you can change the URL and include the start date in the URL for the Events Archive page.

To enable the feature, please navigate to Event Settings > Events and enable the option Events Archive page change post date to event start date.

Thank you and have a nice day!

    Hi,

Would you please contact our Support Team? Indeed, this feature cannot be achieved in a category page by default, but We may find a possible solution for you.

Here is the email address – [email protected]

I was able to add the code to make this happen.

Now I have another issue with two pages, the event_tag and the event_category page. When I display the template being used, it states it is the page.php template in my theme. This is not so because when I add random text to that template, it does not display on those two pages. It will not apply the header of my theme. There is no setting in the plugin to assign those two dynamic pages the template to use. This should be something that is basic, but it has been extremely difficult to figure out which file is adding it’s own header (in this two pages, the header displayed is a list of items, for example the first one has the following class:

    <li class=”page_item page-item-5059″>

How can I apply the correct template to use for the two dynapic pages: event_tag and event_category ?

    Hi,

    Please excuse my tardy reply.

Please be informed that Event Tag or Event Category pages do not use page.php template. They use Arhive.php or index.php pages.

Thank you and have a nice day!
