    Half of the Jetpack functions are also greyed out.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    You’ll see that message as long as your site is set to use Jetpack’s Development mode. This mode is useful when working with Jetpack in a local environment, as it allows you to use all the features that do not require a WordPress.com. All features that do require a connection, on the other hand, will be deactivated as you can’t use them without connecting your site to your WordPress.com account.

    You’ll consequently need to find where your site sets Jetpack’s development mode.

    1. The first place to look is your site’s wp-config.php file.Look for the following line: define( 'JETPACK_DEV_DEBUG', true);

      If you find it, delete it, save your changes, and you should then be able to connect Jetpack to your WordPress.com account under the Jetpack menu in your dashboard.

    2. If you don’t see that line in your site’s wp-config.php file, try deactivating each one of your plugins, one at a time, until the notice disappears.

    Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks! I actually figured it out in the end. I had tried setting it to false, but just removing it did the trick.

    Thanks!
