In Contact Form 7, user messages treated as spam
-
The plugin has worked fine on this particular site. Recently users began having trouble sending messages through Contact Form 7. When the reCAPTCHA is hidden for registered users and repeat commenters, the message is blocked as suspected spam. For anonymous visitors, the reCAPTCHA is shown and the same message can be sent. Without a BWP reCAPTCHA in the form, the contact form works fine for registered users.
In BWP reCAPTCHA settings:
- Hide captcha for registered users, users who can manage options, and visitors who have at least 1 approved comment(s) are all checked.
- Under Contact Form 7 Integration, “Integrate with CF7” is checked, and “Treat invalid captcha as spam” is unchecked.
- Akismet Integration is not active on BWP reCAPTCHA settings
Shortcode in Contact Form 7 is [recaptcha recaptcha-XXX].
Example of BWP treating contact as spam: https://bit.ly/bwpcf7. Of course, you will be an anonymous user and it should work fine for you.
