• I have created a copy staging site for some design changes.
    I am running www.remarpro.com V6.4.3
I installed the Twenty Twenty Four theme.

All seemingly working well, however, I have noticed an issue with the templates…

when in a page edit and on the right column I select page-template
in the drop down box, I can only select “edit template” and “swap template” and Create new template” and “template preview”
if I select “swap template” i only get the choice to select custom templates? no std templates are visible?
    or
When in the dashboard and in all pages and I quick edit a page and I select Template I only get the custom templates showing?

however, when I go Appearance-Editor in my templates i have two sections the first is what I believe are std templates with the following templates:
“all archives”, “blog home”, “index”, “page:404”, “pages”, “search results”, and “single posts”
IAll of which I can click on and edit, but none of them are selectable on actual pages as per the above description??

Hi @glooper – thanks for the question.

Those other ‘Standard’ templates you see are for specific uses (like showing single posts, or an archive of all posts) and, as such, aren’t able to be used as ‘Page’ templates. The only specific ‘page’ template which comes with the theme shows up as ‘default’.

Was there something particular you were hoping to do that would be achieved by using one of those other templates?

    Hi Jordesign

thank you for your reply, I can create my own templates, but it just seemed a bit confusing..

@jordesign I created a “front page” template that I want to use as a home page and I want to use the “blog home” template for my posts page. Is there a way to do that?
I haven’t been able to apply those templates to a newly created pages.

I’d love to take a look at that, @danaecious!

Since this isn’t exactly related to the original question, could I ask you to please open a new support thread?

If you want to share the link to the new thread in your next reply here, I will mark this conversation as “solved” and we can continue in the new thread.

Keeping threads separated will help future users find them more easily ??

    Thank you!
