    Hi @yehudah!

After updating to version 2.0.4 (2019-08-27) I started experiencing an issue. When sending emails to “John Doe <[email protected]>” –as opposed to using only the email address (“[email protected]”)– the emails are properly sent (they arrive to their recipient) but the Email Log fails to register the To field in different ways:

    • In “View” and “Session Transcript” only shows “To: John Doe” without the actual email address ([email protected]).
    • The “Sent To” column is empty.

I insist that the email is sent with no errors and the recipient receives it, the problem is only AFAK in the Email Log.

Also, having debug mode turned on I get the following warning message:

Warning: json_decode() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/staging-site/wp-content/plugins/post-smtp/Postman/PostmanLogFields.php on line 61

I have tried the two previous versions (2.0.3 and 2.0.2) and I don’t experience the issue, nor get the warning message.

I am using OAuth 2.0 with Gmail.

The emails are sent by HTML Forms By ibericode

Please, let me know if you need more info or further testing.

    Thanks!

    Hello Yehudah,

I’m fine thanks. I hope you too.

I’ve tried this new version. The issue is partially solved:

    • In “View” it is fixed. I get the right value (To: John Doe <[email protected]>).
    • In “Session Transcript” I still get only the name without the email address (To: John Doe).
    • In the “Sent To” column now I get “JohnDoe<[email protected]“. I guess that the number 62 that appears at the end comes from the HTML entity for the character >, which is &#62.

Thank you for your prompt reaction.

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay, tried by best to release a new version.

    Version 2.0.5 is available.

    Hi,

Thank you @yehudah. I appreciate your effort to solve this minor issue.

I’ve just updated to version 2.0.5 and I can see there is still a tiny detail left to solve: in the “Sent To” column now I’m getting “[email protected]“ all together without space and without angled-brackets (< >) surrounding the email address, I mean, I think it should show “John Doe <[email protected]>“.

    Hi,

Did you check an old email log or a new one?
