[Imsanity] [Suggestion] Possibly preserve EXIF data

that’s a good idea. i think that would have to be submitted to wordpress itself because imsanity just uses the wordpress built-in image resizing functions (except for bitmaps, which imsanity converts to jpegs)

Would it be possible to maybe extract EXIF information before using the WP resizing functions, then modifying the resized JPEGs after?

yea that would be the only way to do it. i checked out a few libraries for doing that so i may give it a try and see if it’s possible without making the plugin unstable. it seems that reading exif info is easy but writing it is sometimes glitchy.
