Imsanity creating insanely huge image uploads

  • I just noticed on our multisite installation that Imsanity was creating 1MB jpegs for 1000×1000 dimensions, possibly since the last plugin update (?). I then changed the quality settings of the plugin to the following and reuploaded the same file a few times:

    80% ~ 150kb
    90% ~ 250kb
    100% ~ 650kb

    So apparently something was really wrong in the default setup, perhaps the compression was turned off completely? The plugin displayed 90% quality before i resaved the value, but perhaps this was just a visual default in the interface.
