improving the mobile version of my site

Hi. I run a website (www.montrealrampage.com). I used a template for the site, but have altered it to better suit my needs. ONe of the problems that has driven me crazy is that when the site appears on a mobile device, the carousel image at the top will sometimes have a large white space beneath it and sometimes will not. I’ve so far assessed that this space corresponds with the largest picture that is lined up in the carousel… but I don’t know how to adjust it for smaller pictures so that it is consistently sized with no large white space underneath. This doesn’t happen on all phones either (surprise). I notice it on my Galaxy Samsung, for example.

Anyway, if someone has any ideas how to solve the problem, much help would be appreciated.
