Improving LCP and total blocking time

  • How can I improve my [redundant link removed] site’s LCP and TBT (total blocking time). Does these 2 issues affect my SEO ?

    You’ve likely seen this Page Speed Insights test for your site.

    Below the time based little screen grab images, there is “Show audits relevant to:”. Click LCP, then TBT. Under each, attempt to address the opportunities identified. Each has an expansion icon on the right which exposes more information on how to address that specific opportunity.

    If the site is exceedingly slow, I think it might affect Google mobile search ranking. I don’t think it’s a factor for searches from non-mobile devices. How much, if any, of a factor page speed is in page rank is anyone’s guess.
