    Hi @devowl,

as you convinced me with your plugin, I installed it for most of my own sites, but also for most of my customers.

In Germany – as you know ?? – (and also in some other European countries) we differentiate between “du” and “sie”.

I have the feature request that your legal shortcodes are based on the language set in WordPress e.g. “Deutsch (Sie)” and “Deutsch”

If I got it right, the legal shortcodes are in e.g “Deutsch” => “Deutsch (du)”.
Means as user of your plugin, I have to replace the text in the shortcode from “du” to “sie”.

But, this feature request is really a cosmetic one …

    Best,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,

Great to hear that you use Real Cookie Banner for most of your customers ??

You are right, at the moment we only support “German”, which is “Deutsch (Du)” in the WordPress ecosystem. But we are trying to make all texts editable for the frontend in case someone prefers different wording in the cookie banner (in other languages like Spanish you would have similar problems to the German Du/Sie problem).

Which texts (in English or German) are not editable in the WordPress Customizer, but you want to change them?

I have currently only found the following text that I would assume you could mean are not yet changeable:

“History of your privacy settings” (in German: “Historie deiner Privatsph?re-Einstellungen”)

    Best regards,

    Jan

Hi.Can I translate this text “Essential cookies are required for the basic functionality of the website. They only contain technically necessary cookies. ” in free version? When I switch the site language to Deutsch (Schweiz, Du), it does not change to German. Thanks for the help…

    Hey @mira19 !

    Thanks for your message.

You can change the group texts in your Cookie settings by clicking the pencil icon: https://i.imgur.com/QR5kH29_d.webp?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium (currently only mobile view, as I am writing from my mobile).

What language does your WordPress use? Usually, if you are using Germany as language, the texts are also translated to Germany.

    Regards,
    Matthew ??

thanks it helped a lot ??
