• Hi,

I’m using the w3c total cache plugin but still the page load time is not good. It’s current load time as suggested by tools.pingdom.com is 1.5s to 2.5s. And a score of 92%, I understand it’s ok, but definitely not good.

The first byte time suggested by webpagetest.org is an F. I at least want it to be a C if not A or B.

What are the other ways in which I can improve the performance of my site?

Thanks for any kind of help!

without a link to website it’s hard to know what you might change.
do you have an image heavy website, theme that is slow to load or plugins that are resource heavy?

This is a common problem that even I haven’t yet completely gotten yet. It involves doing the following.

    • Try to keep your plugins and themes on your website to a minimum.
    • Try to have minimal images or videos on one page. If you are displaying an image, try to the smush.it plugin to reduce the image size.
    • Try to use a fairly speedy theme on your website. Try different themes until you find the best results.
    • Try to use a cache plugin like WP Fastest Cache or something similar. Search in the plugin directory to see which ones you can find that will speed up your website the most.
    • Use the benchmark plugin to test out your website speed.
    • Try to minimize the amout of mb or gb your website is taking up.

If you did all of the stuff above and you notice no improvement at all, read this article on host provider speeds. https://mpswp.wordpress.com/2014/08/02/making-your-website-load-fast/

Use a CDN service, like cloudeflare which is free

@contentiskey here is my website url https://www.coupondaddy.in

Have you tried what I suggested above?

@mathew: Yes, sir. I’m already doing most of the above stated things. Except for CDN, which I’ll be doing next to see how things go. Couldn’t follow the try to minimize the amount of mb or gb your website is taking.

My concerns are about the first byte time and the images. I have to use the images because that would make my coupon site completely boring, and I already use smush.it to compress them but still there’s not much difference.
