    Good morning,

I set up all the credentials in the wp search with Algolia plugin on my website but when I click on “Save settings” it appears an error message saying “Impossible to connect to server, please check your Algolia Aplication ID”. I have no firewall or proxy, I tried to deactivate security, cache and redirection plugins but it doesn’t change.

The credentials are correct and I checked them several times to be extremely sure.

I contacted Algolia support but they sayd some index happende (non everything though) and on their side it seems everything is ok.

    What can I do?

Now the search option on the website is down and I cannot even get the option “autocomplete” or “pagination” in the backend to try to index again.

Are you able to get the site back to search working when you set the Search settings to not use Algolia, and the autocomplete set to off? or is it somehow breaking your search even with all that?

Was it a newly created application in Algolia? I know recently I set up a new one and it took a little while longer than normal to get fully set up and working, but it did eventually complete the setup.

Do you have a dev/staging copy of the website that you can try with, using the same application and API credentials? Even a copy on your local computer would work.

I know we had someone else in our support pipeline recently that accidentally firewalled some of Algolia’s IP Addresses, and once those were re-allowed through, the connectivity worked again.
