Impossible create directory wp-content/uploads/2014/04.

  • Hi,
    starting with wordpress. I installed it (celochiedeleuropa.eu) and seemed to work but when I try to upload an image as wallpaper the following error appear

    “Impossibile creare la directory wp-content/uploads/2014/04. Verifica che la directory madre sia scrivibile dal server!”

    Translation: Impossible to create the directory … Check that “mother”-directory is writable from the server”

    How can I fix it?

  • Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

    I had a look to that page but couldn’t understand how really change the permissions on the editor admin page of wordpress.
    What is the code to change, where have I to put “766” or 767 etc..?
