    Hi Guys,
I just bought Premium solely for the import feature as I have a lot of FAQ’s that I do not want to retype again.
I uploaded them in the format specified, but they upload empty.

    Any clues?

    Thanks,

    Aidan

    **Update**
The upload uploaded all the empty rows. So that is why I have lots of empty FAQ’s.

Is there a way now to bulk delete the 1000+ empty FAQ’s I have?

    Hi Aidan,

To bulk delete your empty FAQs, what you can do is go to the “FAQs” tab, click the “Screen Options” tab at top right corner of your window and then choose 999 for the “Number of items per page” setting (that’s the maximum that WordPress allows). Then you can just click the select-all checkbox and choose “Move to Trash” from the “Bulk Actions” drop down selector.

For the FAQs uploading as empty, there could perhaps be an issue with the formatting of specific cells in your spreadsheet or something else that’s corrupt. The following is a link to a spreadsheet that you can use as a template for import:

    https://www.etoilewebdesign.com/Screenshots/FAQ_Export.xls

Try using this as a template to build out your spreadsheet. If you’re still having trouble with importing after doing this, then try importing just the template file, as is, to see if that works.

    Thank you

    Hi guys,

I have done as you say by selecting ‘999’ on screen options but when I select all and select ‘move to trash’, I get a page error.

I changed this number down to ‘600’ and ‘400’ and it still brought up page errors.

I reduced it again to ‘200’ and this seems to work until I realised that no FAQ’s were moving to trash.

I have a PRO licence so I’d just like to delete them all and start again.

    How can I do this?

I uninstalled the app and all data but when i reinstall, all the FAQ’s are back. So the data does not get deleted on an uninstall.

    Thanks,

    Aidan

    Hi guys,

Any update on this? I paid for pro and I can’t use it. So I need this resolved or a refund.

    Cheers

    Hi there,

I’m still stuck with the same issue. Can you please help?

    Hi Aidan,

If you have empty FAQs showing up in your admin and, for some reason, you aren’t able to delete them manually in the plugin admin, you may have to delete them straight from the wp_posts table in your database. The FAQs are just a custom post type, so the posts should be in the wp_posts table. Just search for all posts with post type “ufaq” and delete them from the database table.

    Hi,

That did not work. It deleted some but the upload again didnt import the categories although I did everything correctly and it also added strange characters to all the FAQ’s which means I have to go and manually edit each one.

I have just requested a refund via PayPal. I hope you honour it.

    Regards,

    Aidan

    Hi Aidan,

I’d like to apologize on behalf of our team that this support thread was never resolved. We’re having a bit more trouble tracking older threads now that the forums aren’t arranged chronologically by most recent post date-time.

We’ve sent the refund, and wish you the best of luck with your project.
