Importing without FTP

    My host only allows SFTP uploads, an option that the wordpress import plugin function does not allow. Neither FTP or FTPS are available, so I can’t use the built in theme or plugin installers.

    Not a big deal, I can just download them and upload them to my host, right?

    The problem I’m facing is when I’m trying to import my stuff from the WordPress.com blog to my 3.1.2 install. I can’t use the plugin to install the .xml file. Is there any way around this?
