Importing tool stalls – help with XML file

Hi there,

So I’m doing a transfer of a site, and exported all the old content.

Now I’m trying to import it, but it keeps stalling. I’ve used an old XML backup, but am now two months short of content.

I’ve opened the problem file in Wordpad, and can edit it (ie delete a bunch of stuff to decrease the load)… but after I do that, it won’t import at all.

This tells me I know nothing about editing XML files. Any tips? Should I even be using wordpad to open it?
