    Hi creativewebdesigns03,
Thanks for posting. You might check out these man pages:

    CSV Import

    CSV File Formats

The short answer is no. Import is not for updating schedules. Games are imported based on game slugs. If you re-import a schedule with changes to the games, games with new slugs will be added, and games with the same slugs will also be added. The original will have slug “game-slug”, and the modified game will appear as a separate (new) game with slug “game-slug-1”.

So if you wanted to update a schedule, you would move all the existing games to the trash, and import the modified games. Not too hard since you can filter the All Games table by schedule.

Note that you may want to empty the trash before the import. Otherwise, all the modified games will import just fine, and the front end displays will work as before, but the game slugs will all have the “-1” appended. Items in the trash are still in the database, and therefore maintain their unique names (slugs).

    Regards,

That makes sense for the game updates. I think that would be fine to then manually add/change after the import

    https://shoalsummitsolutions.com/ss-csv-file-formats/
indicates the IMPORTANCE of the fields matching the examples, but I can’t find the examples of the CSV format.

Can you provide the URL to the .csv import format?
    Thanks

Examples are in your plugin directory. Re-read the first sentence of the referenced post.

A video tutorials on both exporting and importing CSV files are available to MSTW Gold Support members.

OK. I haven’t got the product yet, these are questions I had before getting it.
Thank you for the quick response

Hello, I have downloaded the plugins and began to look at the importer. Is there a way to distinguish between games and practices? I’d like to keep them all together, but I only see references to games.

    Thank you

The plugin is not designed for practices or to be a ‘team calendar’. IMO, it’s a bit hokey to use it for practices, but what you could do is:

    a. Set up a new, completely separate schedule for practices.
    b. Enter the practices as games on that schedule.

You can then use the shortcodes to display:
    – Just a list of practices
    – Just a list of games
    – Or a combination of the two

    Hope that helps.

    Hi again Mark,
I am using the schedules and scoreboards plugin for multiple teams.
The shortcode works great when listing on the individual team pages, however I would like to have a list of upcoming games for all teamson the home page.

    So my questions are:
How do I list the home team as part of the table. It only lists opponent, so it’s not clear who’s game it is.

Also, is there a way to limit it to just the next week?
    ie. Upcoming games this week?

    Thank you.

    Never mind. Found it. Thanks!!

    Hi,
There are easy answers for these questions. But first, please open a new thread for this question. Because (a) this thread is resolved (don’t post to resolved threads), and (b) it has nothing to do with ‘importing schedules’ (this thread).
    Thanks.
