    hi

Sorry I posted a support request on the ‘product import/export’ plugin page, in error. And that may have answered by question, but I am now double checking and I cannot ‘see’ how changing the post id will work.

    for example

The order import looks like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/aQMVEULLsV

And an error on import was this: https://www.screencast.com/t/QOMU0Okced7A

So Order 2847 was no imported, because of

“Importing order(ID) conflicts with an existing post”

So this order: https://www.screencast.com/t/pVBjjh9r specifically has a ‘order ID’ that is the same as an existing post in the new website?

so I need to change the ‘Post ID’ in the import?

Can I change it from 2847 to 28477 or 28471 ? something like that?

Then try and re-import, then check for same errors and then adjust those ‘Order IDs’ ?

many thanks, and apologises for posting in the wrong support forum initially.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @wood1e,

You may please either change the ID of the conflicting orders in the order_id column to another value. Or else you may please delete the ID of the conflicting orders from the order_id column. WordPress will automatically assign the next available ID to the imported orders.

    hi

oh ok, so I could just delete all Order IDs and then import?

Thast saves having to double check all imported orders, as this will enable all import to happen?

    Hi @wood1e,

Yes, you can overcome the ID conflict issue by just deleting the order ID column and then importing. Please note that the order number will also change when the orders are imported with a new ID.
