Importing only posts (no comments) from MT

Hey,

I’m moving a couple of blogs over from MT to WP. Problem is, the comment logs are full of spam, and when I say full, I mean some of the logfiles are 20+mb. When I try to run the importer on these massive files, it chokes.

I’d like to import just the posts and deep-six the comments, but I’m not brilliant w/ PHP by any stretch and my efforts to disable it have thus far resulted in failure. Anyone got any suggestions for me? Many thanks!
