• Looking into moving on from Nextgen Gallery and this looks like a very good alternative (especially with the Nextgen importer!) – but I have a few questions:

    1. Tags – can I still tag images – for example, a band website would want the band member tagged in each image they are in.

    2. Shortcodes. In Nextgen I was able to use a shortcode that displayed images with a specific tag from all galleries ( [ngg_images source=”tags” container_ids=”james”] ) that would show all the images with the tag ‘james’ – can I do anything similar with FooGallery?

    3. Is there a list of available shortcodes somewhere?

    4. Can I display all galleries on one page – in Nextgen [nggalbum] (without an album id) simply shows a thumbnail for all the galleries

    Many thanks!

hey Sean, thanks for looking at FooGallery.

    1. Tags is a feature I am currently working on.
    2. Not at the moment because there is no support for tags, but this is an awesome suggestion.
    3. The gallery shortcode is [foogallery id=”x”] and album shortcode is [foogallery-album id=”y”] – You can override settings by passing in arguments in the shortcode
    4. This is also not available, but is a great suggestion. I have added it to my backlog.
