Importing media/uploads directory separately?

    A web host I am dealing with has a low hard limit on the size of FTP and file uploads meaning that I cannot import the .wpress file.

    Is it possible to choose to export without the media folder, import that file into the new websote, and then FTP up the media files separately? Will this cause any problems with website consistency?

    Yes, you can use this method. I recommend that you first sync your media folder and then upload your database.
