    Hey Guys

I purchased this plugin and it works great for getting data in, the problem I have is that none of my xml files contain any image nodes so I cant import any images, it’s probably down to my in-experience but you would think that someone at So Fly would at least be able to put me in the right direction in order to use their pluggin correctly, can anyone suggest a tutorial or anything so I can learn where I am going wrong please? I have property listings in a Custom Post Type that I would like to import the images for onto a test site.

    Thanks and regards

    Wes Dunn

  • Hi Wes,

    >>none of my xml files contain any image nodes so I cant import any images,

Our plugins just work with information provided in files. If you don’t have any nodes with images inside file, then you need to edit your file and insert nodes with links to images, that plugin should use.

How to work with XML files you can find in internet. For example: https://www2.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~xing/Lib/Docs/jaxp/docs/tutorial/sax/1_write.html

All documentation regarding our plugin you can find here: https://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/

But there are no information about CSV and XML files creation because it is not question about our plugins.

    Best wishes,
    Artyom

    Hi Artyom
I understand what you are saying and have been working on this for 3 days now, my question is not how to add elements as I already know how to do this, the problem I have is that I dont know how to map each to the corresponding images stored in the Library, if you have a sample XML file that would really help..

    Kind regards

    Wes Dunn

    Hi Wes,

Maybe I misunderstand you again, but if you need to map images names from file to already existing images in your DB, then you need to use inside elements of your file same names as in your DB. All images should be presented in current month uploads folder.

Plugin search for matches of names in uploads folder of current month with names inside element that you will put in Image URLs field on Step 4.

    Regards,
    Artyom

Wesdunn1977, I am having the same exact problem that you described above. I can’t find the answer ANYWHERE.

Were you able to figure this out? Any advice you can offer would help me more than you can imagine. I have also looked for the answer for a couple days now.

I am trying to add property listings onto a website, and I don’t know how to link the xml file with the pictures.
