importing generic txt file

i was using postnuke previously. there is no way to import the postnuke news stories into WP from what i can tell. however, i exported the postnuke stories into an excel file.

can someone tell me the best way to name the headings so that i can import the stories and dates?

i actually have many categories (columns): title, topic, author, bodytext, hometext (though, i can combine the teaser with the main text if that makes this easier), and even category. i would be really happy with date and bodytext getting imported so i don’t have to do all 80 stories by hand (i’d delete other columns). TIA.
