Importing from WordPress.com – posts import but all are uncategorized

  • Hello WordPress forumns – I am working on moving a blog from WordPress.Com to a new www.remarpro.com install hosted at Media Temple.
    Everything seems to work ok – but all of the posts are importing with out their categories and tags – all import but are just uncateorized. Any ideas on what could cause this and how to fix?

  • If your posts are categorized and tagged in your WordPress.com account, then make another XML export and re-import into your self-hosted WP site/blog without any plugin activated and use twentyten theme.
