Importing from wordpress hosted site – fatal error

  • Hey Everyone,
    I am having a problem that I hope one of you Geniuses can decipher :)…I have a wordpress blog hosted on wordpress.com and I finally figured out how to host a blog on my site, so I tried importing the blog and I get this error:

    Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: wxr_parser in /homepages/1/d158251022/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-importer/wordpress-importer.php on line 953

    Any idea what I can do to fix this…it’s all greek to me and a bit of searching has lead to no luck :(…thanks for your help!

  • Hi Benjamin,
    I’m also having the same problem with wordpress import. But when I tried to do it on my locally hosted wamp server, this problem did not show up!!!

    So I think this is a problem with the server’s php execution time. I’ll let you know if there is an update.
