  • If you mean that you wish to combine an existing blog with another existing blog, both with entries and comments, this is very tricky. How big is each blog ?

Yeah kinda.. I wanna install WP on a new server (because I got another domain) so I wanna import all my old entries into the new one.

Is it possible just to download all my files and upload it again onto the new server? But the thing is I don’t know how to install WP because I use Fantastico which automatically installs it for me… so it would be easier for me if I could just import certain files.

    Any suggestions?

Is the new blog ‘new’ ? No entries at all ?

On the right there are some guides to moving, and the phpmyadmin guides you’ll need are on the left.

If the new database is a fresh install (guides for that too!) then the move is pretty straightforward.

Have a read, keep backups (the MOST important bit) and post back if you have any questions. If you get really stuck, email me ??

I was looking into this idea too. Not sure your links would apply directly to my goal.

I want to merge one wordpress into another. That is, take all the posts/comments from blog “a” on host “a” and add them to blog “b” on host “b”.

They won’t apply directly – it’s much more complex.
You could try a new thread – “Merging Blogs” though a search first should turn up the problems.

Combining blogs was the topic here:

Might ask southsou about his/her final result?
