• Hi all,

I have a quite large site on the 2.0.5 platform and want to upgrade to 2.3.2. I am also moving to a new server so a simple upgrade isn’t what I am looking for.

Is there an easy way to import all posts, pages, and comments to the new 2.3.2 WordPress? Would i need to download the old and then import into the new?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

  • If it were me, I would follow the upgrade instructions, and upgrade before you move.

Then you can export/import everything, yes.

Its 6 of 12 or 1/2 dozen — but I tend to think that if you have a working blog “right this second”, youre best to take advantage of that – rather then perhaps aggravating things by trying to re-set up a blog and then upgrading at a new host.

    Thanks for the help!

I tried doing all of that, except my DB is more than 2MB big ?? It is sitting at 20MB right now – about 10 fold too big. What is the best way to import then?

    Thanks!
