    Hi,

Tablepress can import any file from the wordpress installation, even php files. Thus the content of the file is displayed in a table.

Is it possible to disable this function?

    Hi!

Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

I see what you mean. Turning off only the import from a server file is not possible right now, sorry. However, that function is only available for Administrators (on WordPress single-site installations) or Super-Admins (on WordPress multi-site installations), which could get the content of such files via other means anyways.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

I agree that it might be usually okay. However, site owners are able to prevent file access for admin users too. It will be quirky from this aspect.

I’d say it is safer and more accurate approach to limit tablepress to access only wp-content/uploads/ folder.

    Hi,

Thanks for your feedback on this! Yes, admin file access can of course be reduced.

I will look into possible options here some more and then look into improvements in the future! Thanks for your suggestion!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
