Importing database

  • This is my scenario. I have wordpress on linux box right now and am using webmin to control the mysql database. I am now setting up a windows box that is using xampp to run its database. Can i import the database from my linux box unto the database that is on the windows box? I’m getting an error trying to do this? Another thing…you have the backup database button in the gui, is there a plugin through the gui that would import the database?

    any help will work

  • The database should be mysql and it doesn’t really matter on what platform are you running.

    – Is that a question about the error or a statement?

    There is a backup plugin but there isn’t a “restore” plugin.

    I’m getting this error while importing through the xampp windows mysql
