Importing Blogger entries.

  • I saw that you can import entries from Blogger to WP… How does that work? I’m currently using Blogger and I’ve been thinking of switching back to WP.
    … It’s not possible to import Blogger comments though, is it? I don’t have the latest WP installed yet so I can’t take a look around the control panel.

    There was a post here yesterday to which I gave that link, but it wasn’t that successful.
    Have Blogger changed their archiving maybe ?

    Hi- I was one of the people having trouble doing a Blogspot –> WP archive transfer.
    Still having trouble – transfer begins, one month transfers over, then the process hangs never leaving the 0% published status.
    Blogger, being the behomoth they are, hasn’t been exactly responsive. Am pretty desperate to get the archive transferred and was wondering if some of the WP folks could look into the problem.
    This is both a problem for Blogger and WP, obviously, as each have a stake in making this work.

    Well, I haven’t tried importing yet since Blogger is being anal and refuses to rebuild anything. It’s the same problem you described, rhealz. I guess Blogger’s servers are under a lot of stress nowadays because this certainly isn’t the first time this is happening.
