importing blogger, duplicate posts

I too have the same problem of importing blog postings from blogger to WP. i find that if i go and delete all my word press WP posts, and reimport, i do not have the problem where importing stops half way through the process.

but what i did notice today, are all the duplicate postings of previous failed importing attempts. any way to prevent the duplicates?

i thought i read on WPs site in the import area, not blogs will be duplicated? also of notice, i think the dups are just in the dashboard area, and not shown on the actual blog..
