• I have recently decided to move one of my blogger blogs to wordpress. I am in the importing process and when google tries to validate the authorization for blogger it fails, it cannot connect. The error message is:

    Could not connect to https://www.google.com

There was a problem opening a secure connection to Google. This is what went wrong:

    Connection timed out (110)

Thank you for creating with WordPress. | Documentation | Feedback

Your web server needs to be able to make an outgoing connection to Google in order to get the data from it. If it can’t do that, then you need to fix the server so that it can, or have the host do it. Could be a firewall problem, or the server may be misconfigured.
