importing a JSON feed INTO WordPress as a CPT and Metadata?

    From my current understanding, this plugin creates a JSON feed of my current website content to be able to use on other sites, or by themes, etc.

    However, I am wanting to import a JSON feed from an external source and map it to a custom post type and custom fields/metadata within my WordPress Install.

    I know I could just use javascript templates and display the JSON data without it ever hitting my WordPress database, but I am wanting to specifically map it to an existing CPT, etc.

    Is this possible with this plugin? If not, do you have any suggestions to help me out?
