Importing 4.3.1 database into 4.4

  • Hi, i did a fresh install on a test website and tried to import the database from 4.3.1 wordpress database. What happened was , after importing, when i visit the test website, it show WP install page.

    Is it just me or do i have to do it differently. Never had this issue with 4.3.1

    I have done this myself a few times as the the new site’s WordPress Database Table prefix in wp-config.php didn’t match that of the database I’d imported.

    Check that the new site’s value matches that in your imported database ??
