    I created a csv with two columns for old URL and new URL. I converted it to a json file and imported. I get a message that the import was successful, but I don’t see the imported redirects.

    Is there anything specific I need to add to the formatting that would make the import work?

    Thank you for your question! Let us try to reproduce the issue and get back to you. If your csv isn’t confidential, maybe you can share it with us, so that we can try it with that one ourselves?

    Hi @metaglyphics ,

    I see what you tried with csv file, but I am afraid the Redirection plugin cannot work with such file.

    To explain: Redirection plugin can import only json files that are generated by our plugin, because it contains additional information for each redirection, apart from source and destination URL. To be more precise, each saved specific redirection also contains data defined in Advanced Options that are available for each redirection. If you create a couple of redirections in Redirection plugin, and check out the exported json file, you will be able to see what I wrote about, and also to proceed with editing if you see it practical, though I think that the manual entries in the plugin might be simpler.

    Our team will have your feedback in mind and perhaps develop a tool to generate the redirections from the csv like you wanted to do it originally.

    Kind regards

    P.S.

    @metaglyphics there is a way to what you accomplish what you wanted:

    1. Create one or two Specific Redirections in the plugin as you wanted and export the json file;
    2. Convert json file to csv, for example with this tool https://www.convertcsv.com/json-to-csv.htm. After that, you can edit the csv file, add the list of redirections so that it contains data in the other cells as the original redirection in the file;
    3. Once you have added all redirections to the csv file, you can use the same tool from above to convert csv back to json file and then import it to Redirection plugin.

    In our tests this method worked out.
    Kind regards
