imported tumblr posts seem to have closed comments

    The importer does not know anything about Disqus, and does not import any comments at all, because Tumblr does not have a built-in comments system to import anything from.

    Note that the date of the post is preserved, so if you have WordPress set to auto close comments after a time period, then that will still happen. That’s built into WordPress, and doesn’t have anything to do with the importer.
